When a vehicle is started, numerous areas of the engine, brake system, emission system, driver restraint system, and other electrical systems are monitored.

  • Various indicator lights on the dashboard are designed to go on to alert the driver.
  • The malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) may come on in a certain situation that affects engine and emissions operations.
  • A flashing MIL is an indication that there is a problem which may be causing damage that should be addressed immediately. Refer to the Owner’s Manual for a description of the various warning lights.

After 15 years as a general manager of apparel and specialty retail stores, I’m excited to join Battleground Kia as Customer Relationship Manager. Building brands, serving customers, and making each customer’s experience memorable has always been my favorite part of working in retail. I’m excited to bring that experience, passion, and enthusiasm to Battleground Kia’s customers, past, present, and future. I’m looking forward to learning what we did well and how we can improve to ensure customers seek us out each time they’re in the market for a vehicle. My favorite part of working at Battleground Kia, so far, is meeting new people and the fact that every day is a little different. I’m also enjoying being part of a diverse team that is full of talent and an eagerness to make each customer’s car-buying experience one they’ll remember for years to come.

Work is GREAT, but when I get the chance to take a week’s vacation, you’ll find me aboard a cruise ship enjoying tropical weather and some rest and relaxation. My favorite cruise so far left from San Juan, Puerto Rico, with ports of call in St. Martin, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, St. Thomas, and Barbados. If you’re a cruiser, we’ll have a lot to talk about when you come see us. When I leave work for the day, I enjoy gardening, reading, and playing with my dog, Rocco, a 7-year-old Basenji with a BIG personality.

Many thanks for allowing me to introduce myself and know that I look forward to meeting and working with all of you to make your next car-buying experience one to remember.

Battleground Kia Obtains KDEP+ Certification for 2016

Battleground Kia is consistently awarded the automaker’s highest honors…but the real winner is YOU!

As the premier Kia dealership in North Carolina, servicing Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem, and surrounding areas, we are proud to have received numerous awards over the years, but above all, we hold our multiple KDEP+ certifications as our most cherished achievement.

The Kia Dealer Excellence Program certification—or  KDEP+ — is awarded annually to Kia dealers who deliver superior value and performance across multiple areas of operation including;  facility cleanliness, adherence to capacity standards, staffing and training requirements, sales, and service. Battleground Kia is honored to be among the handful of national Kia dealers awarded the 2016 KDEP+ certification, a gold standard we first earned in 2012 and maintain to this day!

In fact, it’s so hard to earn a KDEP+ certification that less than 20% of all Kia dealers in the country can claim it. It’s even more challenging to sustain KDEP+ certification over multiple years. Battleground Kia has been in this elite group year over year, so when we say nobody can touch our sales, service, parts, or selection, we mean it and we’ve got the multi-year KDEP+ certifications to prove it!

“For years now, we have strived to provide Greensboro and the Triad area with the largest Kia selection, the lowest prices and, most importantly, the best customer service in the automotive sales and services,” said Chris Morgan, Operating Partner at Battleground Kia. “We are very honored to be a part of such an excellent program.”

But why are YOU, our customer, truly the big winner?

Battleground Kia has been in the KDEP+ certification circle of excellence since 2012 for what has essentially been “business as usual” for us. That’s because Battleground Kia has always set the bar for unrivaled performance so high that only our customers experience the absolute best that Kia and the dealer experience have to offer in North Carolina. For years, we’ve listened to our customers and evolved to meet—then exceed—their expectations. The fact that we’ve also consistently exceeded the expectations of Kia Motors America, Inc., is, quite frankly, just icing on the cake.

Come into Battleground Kia and check out the Kia Soul named “Highest Ranked Compact Multi-Purpose Vehicle in Initial Quality” by J.D. Power or the Kia Sorento awarded “Highest Ranked Midsize SUV in Initial Quality” by J.D. Power. Every Kia make and model, with every option and performance package you desire, is in stock and ready to roll at a price no other Kia dealer can beat. That’s a promise you can count on from your local, multi-year KDEP+ certified Kia dealer, Battleground Kia of the Triad!

Dina is our wonderful receptionist here at Battleground KIA who you will see first thing when you walk in the door! She originally hails from the great golden state of California and came here to be closer to her family, particularly her mother. She has been a proud North Carolinian for twenty years now, first moving to Lexington and then later to Greensboro.

Before starting her tenure at Battleground KIA, Dina worked in the beauty-care industry for seven whole years, and before that she worked as a wound care nurse for fifteen years. When asked what her favorite part about working at Battleground KIA is, she said, “It is the wonderful people who are so easy to work with and friendly.” Dina believes that the greatest key to success is simply being happy while making sure to care for and understand other people.

When not working Dina likes to read, crochet and play with her grandchildren. She loves watching NCIS, listening to classic rock, and enjoys all the super-awesome-cheesy-goodness that is Hispanic food; particularly chicken and rice. Recently her three grandchildren had a blast dressing up for Halloween! Her oldest Maci was pikachu, her grandson Ethan was Captain America, and her youngest granddaughter Sara was Sophia the 1st. To Dina, nothing is as important as family, and she loves feeling like everybody here is just a member of one big happy family. So from everyone here at Battleground KIA, thanks for everything Dina!
